Salman is a Lead Design Engineer who works on jet engine compressor design of GE90 engine that powers the Boeing 777 aircraft. Boeing 777 is operated by Emirates, Air India, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines etc. Salman provides technical guidance to these aircraft operators with his expertise in this domain.
Salman completed his initial schooling from Mumbai and completed his BTech in Mechanical Engineering from MH Saboo Siddik College of engineering. He was as the topper of the department and stood 8th at Mumbai University Merit list.
Post completion of BTech he felt a need to pursue higher education to develop specialisation in a domain. He cracked the entrance examination to IIT’s (Indian Institute of Technology) securing 99.4% percentile and received admission in IIT Madras India’s top ranked engineering institute. He completed his
MTech in Mechanical engineering from IIT Madras in 2017. Salman is a gold medalist from IIT Madras as he topped the department with 95.9% in the final examination and received an award for the best engineering project.
Currently he works at GE Aviation (General Electric) as a aircraft engine design engineer since 2017.

Apart from Aviation, he loves teaching and has worked part time for a e-learning organization. He has recorded more than 1200+ hours of lectures for Physics, Maths for std 11th,12th, NEET, JEE. He is associated with a NGO Team SDI Ummeed which organizes career guidance session for students and professionals. Salman has conducted 40+ webinars various domains like Artificial Intelligence, Communication skills, IT skills, Professional ethics, Programming languages, Data science etc. Details of his
webinars have also featured in some daily newspapers like Inqalaab.
He also runs a Youtube Channel named Salman Pettiwala where he frequently uploads his class recordings.
