Being a lawyer is no easy job. Wearing the band and gown is a herculean task which is furthermore difficult when it's clouded with conventional reservations.

Graduate in Commerce, with flying colours and University Rank Holder, Miss. Sofiya Banu was successful in convincing her father, Mr. Shoaib Bawani, to let her pursue her dream course, Law. With her limited access to technology and exposure, she has authored few research papers in field of law and successfully completed her Law from KLE Law College Bangalore and secured Second Rank in her University, Karnataka State Law University. Making her parents, specially her mother Bilkish Banu proud, who has always been her guide. Parallelly, she also completed Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretary of India, Bangalore Chapter. Throughout her academic journey, her sister, Saliya Banu and her brother, Mohammad Shahrukh had been great support system, her mother being the backbone for her dreams.

Soon thereafter, she started her practice under the guidance of eminent lawyers in Bangalore and has garnered varied experience in diverse field of law, including Family/matrimonial cases, Criminal, Civil cases. She has been working tirelessly to help needy to whom access to justice is an expensive affair. She is actively associated with institutions providing pro-bono services, especially to Women. She also has few reported cases at her credit and has a established office at Bangalore. With the help and guidance of her husband, Syed Mansoor, who is also an established Criminal Lawyer in Bangalore, she is redefining the conventional notions and limitations.
