Dr Yousuf Memon is Director and Cancer Surgeon at SCCH Sanjeevani CBCC USA Cancer Hospital Raipur (Chhattisgarh) India with work experience of 20 years in the field of Oncology(Cancer treatment). Sanjeevani CBCC USA Cancer Hospital is World’s fifth cancer hospital of CBCC of California of America.
Dr Yousuf ‘s father was a Kirana merchant at a small village gram Barula near town Gariaband of Raipur district of Chhattisgarh state . After his primary education from Barula he went to town Gariaband at his uncle ‘s home and completed his middle and Higher secondary schooling from Tribal Govt school Gariaband .
In 1991 he was selected in Premedical entrance exam and did his MBBS and MS (master’s in surgery) from Pt. JNM Medical College Raipur Chhattisgarh. He did Fellowship in Surgical Oncology ( Cancer Surgery) from prestigious Nizam’s institute of Medical sciences Hyderabad, King Georges Medical University Lucknow and worked as Senior Resident Doctor at Rajeev Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center New Delhi.
In 2003 he went back to Chhattisgarh and started practicing as Cancer Surgeon.
In year 2006 He started Sanjeevani Cancer Hospital in a 20 bedded rented building. In 2009 he tied up with prestigious CBCC (Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center) of California of United States of America and installed central India’s first most advanced IGRT Linear accelerator Radiotherapy machine for cancer treatment. CBCC is a leading private cancer treatment center of west coast of America , situated at Bakersfield Los Angeles California.
At present SCCH Sanjeevani CBCC USA Cancer Hospital is 100 bedded Cancer Hospital in 2 buildings with facility of Cancer Surgery, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, PET Scan, Nuclear medicine dept. with Gamma camera , high dose Iodine therapy, Hematology, blood bank and state’s first and only Bone marrow Transplant unit . 14 full time and 10 visiting specialists of various cancer subject are working under leadership of Dr Yousuf Memon.
Dr. Yousuf himself has done more than 10000 cancer surgeries with special interest in Head and neck , breast , gynecological , gastrointestinal, genitourinary , lung , soft tissue and bone cancers.
He frequently visits East African countries and patients from Kenya , Tanzania , Uganda etc come to Raipur at Sanjeevani for treatment in very affordable cost .
Apart from his medical carrier Dr Yousuf is active Rotarian , past president of Rotary club of Raipur North and District chairman of Disease prevention Committee of Rotary district 3261. He actively runs anti-tobacco and cancer awareness campaigns across Chhattisgarh state , borders of Orrisa and Madhya Pradesh
