Mr Omar Farook Khatani, Memon I A S OFFICER from Madhya Pradesh.

Selected in Public Service Commission of MP in the year 1975 first Memon selected in Administrative Service in Government of MP.

Mr. Khatani was born and brought up in a Memon family in a small village Sarangpur in Madhya Pradesh by his very well-established grandparents and parents.

After completing his post-graduation in Science in the year 1974, he got selected in MPPSC and delivered his duties for MP Government for 35 years and worked as an administrator in the several departments and at last got retired as Additional Collector posted as Secretary MP State Minorities Commission. During his service tenure he completed LLB and PGDCG also.

MP State Administrative Service Association is association of Deputy, Joint and Additional Collectors of MP State. Consist of Total 700 Administrative Officers. He was the president of this association since 2005 to till his retirement in 2012 continuous about 7 years.

He had worked with 4 General Secretaries all of them are IAS officer at Commissioner/Secretary of Government of MP. Passed MSc Zoology in 1974 from SS In Zoology, Ujjain, also done LLb 1st year in 1975 from Madhav College Ujjain and compete LLb in 1984 from Ratlam Law College during Service. Cleared PSC in 1975 and Joined as Naib Tahsidar in 25.4.77 in Multai, Betul distt. Promotion as Tahsidar in 1985. Promotion as Dy Collector in 1994. Worked as Secretary MP Minority Commission for about 8 years in 3 term. Posted as Administrator and CEO of MP Wakf Board, Posted in Revenue Department as Joint Revenue Commissioner. Posted as SDM Susner, Shajapur, and Agar. Also worked as Administrator of Nagar Palika Susner and Shajapur. Retired as Additional Collector from Govt of MP on 31.12.2012. *Important Portfolio Held during his service* Former President MP State Administrative Service Association (Deputy Collector Association) for 6 years.

At present Member of Executive Council of Mansarovar Global University, Bhopal. At present State Head of AMP, a Bombay based NGO working on Education and Employment having about 1 lac members all round the world. State president MP Muslim Education Society. Former Captain of Volleyball team of Madhav Science College, Ujjain, MP played All India Inter University volleyball tournament.

Mr. Khatani Says” We need more and more Memon in the field of Administration and Government jobs to show the dignity and to serve our community and others too. We must try to promote our youngsters to go for Higher education and get these jobs “.
